A quick painting to show an idea for a shot.

After my Pinkman.tv I´ve been approached to pitch some commercials.
I did this image as a final style frame for a pitch. I didn´t win it though. Quite a shame, I was happy with the style, It could be a nice piece.
However I have lots of stuff, storyboards more images lots of BGs.... SO I guess I´ll do a piece with the material at some point.

I did this silly Making-of, so people could understand more or less my way of work.
I´ve been working as hell in each animation so it´s very upseting when people think that it´s rotoscope of sh-----t . Here is a little explanation-of.

My friend Charlie Bean asked me for some concepts art for his great "COSMO" project at CartoonNetwork.

This is advertising now days. There are people thinking out there.

Anyway, the job was a nice 1 year campaign, so it could allow me a much confortable living... It didn´t happen though.

I show you the first rough and the final ( 6th version ) after many many changes.




Pues eso, una ilustrachione para una gente. Al final todo quedó en nada.
La idea era que un tipo accidentalmente golpea un bote de pintura. Pero el ejecutivo de turno lleva un paraguas...
Cuidado, en las agencias hay gente pensando...
El trabajo pintaba bien, de todas formas...
Aquí veis el primer boceto y la 6ª o 7ª versión.

During the last 2 years I´ve been working in various SECRET projects as HARRY POTTER 7 ( SEVEN already?... jesus christ... ), GIjOE, Dorian Grey´s Portrait , Beatles Rock Band ... Cartoon Network future series ( those really made me happy, I must say )... BUT I can´t show any of the stuff around.
So I should wait some time till I show more of my Beatles work.

I think that the best is to be more OPEN and try to go according to our present time.

Ole, ole, ole.
Después de una intensísima semana pintando sin parar y escuchando a Antonio López García, vuelvo con buenas noticias y cacaos mentales varios

La semana ha sido increíble. El último día, rodeados de prensa concejales y otras fieras el increíble Antonio Lopez elegía las que a su juicio fueron las 3 mejores. Estas obras pasarán a formar parte del fondo del ayuntamiento de Albacete bla bla bla.
Un trocito de prensa:

Antonio López señaló que hubiese preferido no seleccionar ninguna obra ya que todos los jóvenes artistas han hecho un esfuerzo enorme, «pero parece que había que elegir tres y así lo hemos hecho. seleccionando los que más nos han gustado».
El nivel ha sido muy alto, según ha destacado el artista manchego Antonio López, que además repetiría esta experiencia por todo lo que ha podido aprender y enseñar. «Para mi tiene mucho sentido estas reuniones de pintores de diferentes edades y lugares, todos con la intención de mejorar y aclarar las dudas que podemos tener, en un momento en la pintura de una enorme confusión ».
Las tres obras elegidas han sido muy diferentes. La obra del joven Alberto Mielgo, refleja la propia sala -taller donde se ha desarrollado el curso, «la historia de lo que ha ocurrido» es como lo definía López . Un bodegón de Juan Sorrocha, ha sido otra de las piezas seleccionadas y un desnudo de la artista Laia Arnaú, realizado sobre una modelo que posó para los alumnos durante el desarrollo de la cátedra

He aprendido muchísimo, tanto, que mi trabajo me parece una autentica porquería.( Bueno, ya no tanto ) Necesito tiempo para pensar y digerir.
Desde aquí gracias al señor Antonio, pintor alucinante y persona increíble y ahora mas admirado que nunca.
Y gracias a mis compañeros de los que he aprendido cosas geniales, en especial a Bernardino Sanchez Bayo ( Una pasada de artista y nuevo en mis links ) , Francisco J Ortega López ( nuevo en mis links ), Lara Arnau Rosell, Rodrigo Hurtado Parra, Jose Angel Ramirez Cuenca y Blanca Quintas.( Estoy indagando a ver si tienen cositas en la red )

So, After a crazzy, extremely busy and intense week, I'm back with good news. My painting has been selected as the best of 24 for the painter master and great human been Antonio López García!
I'm extrremely happy. I did learn a lot, I bring back many answers, and my painting has been selected. Too much, too much.

I´ve been selected among 19 other painters to participate in 1 week masterclases with the great painter ANTONIO LÓPEZ GARCÍA.


ANTONIO LÓPEZ GARCÍA is now days one of the most important painters and also one of my very very favourites artist of all times. ( No doubt about it )

To be selected has been one of my best goals till now, so I have to swallow as much information as posible and enjoy such a great company during this very next week!

Y como bien decía, he sido seleccionado junto con otros 19 artistas para participar en la primera Cátedra Extraordinaria Ciudad de Albacete. Un taller de pintura a cargo del pintor ANTONIO LÓPEZ GARCÍA.


ANTONIO LÓPEZ GARCÍA es uno de mis artistas favoritos desde que tengo uso de pincel.
A fecha de hoy , el artista español vivo más cotizado .
Que queréis que os diga, que un pintor figurativo sea tan internacionalmente considerado, por encima de tanto arte , artista y movimientos de arte tan "SOSPECHOSOS" es algo que me tranquiliza y me motiva.

Solo haber sido seleccionado para el taller ya es para mi la madre del cordero.

Esta semana va a ser un antes y un después. Nos vemos a la vuelta!
